Description

The Shipman’s buzzer was designed by Dave Shipman to sit right on the surface film. Imitating a hatching midge, the shipman buzzer flies produce great results. Becoming increasingly popular with stillwater anglers, it has an antron to keep the buzzer floating. The scruffier the better on these wicked buzzer flies!
Use the fly on a Floating line and a long leader. Cast out and leave. The trout will soon come to it. If a buzzer hatch is on and trout are actively searching the surface film for emergers, then the shipman buzzer flies are dynamite. It really sorts out the big wily overwintered trout in early spring. It is a fantastic fly in flat calm conditions and has won several competitions for us when the going was difficult. Works from March onwards and will even pull fish up in mid-winter on mild days. This is another must and will give your top-of-the-water fishing a whole new meaning. Works equally well on brown and rainbow trout, and also in rivers
