Woolly Bugger Flies
Woolly Buggers are one of the most versatile trout flies you can have in your fly box. Their combination of marabou, chenille and hackle creates plenty of movement in the water, making them effective for imitating leeches, small baitfish, damsel nymphs and other aquatic prey.
They are particularly popular for stillwater and reservoir trout fishing and can be fished at different depths and speeds depending on where the trout are feeding.
Try a slow, steady retrieve with occasional pauses, or vary the speed to find what the fish prefer.
Our Woolly Buggers are hand tied in Scotland, supplied on barbless hooks as standard and in stock ready to ship.
If you require a barbed hook, please contact us before ordering and we can usually accommodate your request. 🎣🪰
