Damselfly patterns are highly effective fly-fishing lures used primarily on stillwaters like lakes and ponds, mimicking both the aquatic nymph stage and the bright blue adult stage of the damselfly. Because real damselfly nymphs swim with a distinct, seductive side-to-side wiggle of their abdomen, incorporating lifelike movement into your fly patterns is crucial for consistent success.
