The App’s Bloodworm fly is the spandex favourite. The bloodworm is actually an imitation of the larval stage of the fly, and bloodworms do spend most of their time on the bottom of the water, which is when trout will feed on them. When disturbed, bloodworms move their bodies from side to side, attracting trout to feed on them. The app’s bloodworm will be effective when the fish are feeding on the bottom, usually when the water is cold. This fly is great in different colours, the fish tend to switch off red bloodworms at times and need something else to entice them.
