Deep Black Sunbeam Booby Barbless.

Description
Booby flies are highly effective stillwater trout lures, particularly when fished on sinking lines. They are usually tied with large foam eyes that make the fly buoyant, allowing it to suspend or rise above the lakebed while the sinking line gets down deep.
🎣 How to fish a Booby
Deep water: Use a sinking or intermediate line to get the fly down.
Retrieve: Short, sharp pulls can make the Booby dart and rise.
Static/very slow: Once the line has sunk, leave the fly relatively still—the buoyant eyes keep it off the bottom.
Best areas: Drop-offs, deep margins and areas where trout are feeding close to the bottom.
Colours: Orange, white, pink, black and chartreuse are popular choices.
A good UK stillwater setup:
🎣 7–9 wt rod → sinking line → short leader → Booby fly.
